Timo Vuorensola sits down with Giles Alderson and Robbie McKane to chat making his epic Iron Sky feature and his latest release in the trilogy Iron Sky: The Coming Race.
He talks about his start as a filmmaker by creating a studio in his mates garage and how he made Star Wreck and watching as it grew into something huge.
How he created a buzz for his 'Nazi's on the Moon' concept in Cannes and got interest from some big players and how he started an early kickstarter to raise money to shoot the film.
How being a debut film-making can be daunting, how he was nearly fired and how he learnt fast and hard and turned it around.
He talks about his new film in the Iron Sky series The Coming race and how you can work with actors on a cgi heavy film.

Iron Sky: The Coming Race - Synopsis: Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. To save humanity they must fight the Vril, an ancient shapeshifting reptilian race and their army of dinosaurs.

Giles Alderson sat down with Katie Sheridan and Ian Diaz to chat about their new webseries Rebecca Gold and the indie films they have worked on and made.
Katie talks about going from young child actor to adult actor. The latest films she starred in Heretics & Together, Working on a horror and using green screen.
Ian tells us how he used to do graphics on Top of the Pops and football and realised he wanted to direct.
How he Crowdfunded a feature in 1995 in the back of Loot magazine and got inundated by people calling wanting to donate to his film and raised 14,000 pounds and made his debut feature The Killing Zone on super 16 with producer Julian Boote
How while shooting he go one hour sleep per night as it was so difficult but
they sold the film at Cannes after a screening.
How he produced Dead Room and worked with the same DoP ALAN Dunlop and we discuss how he raised the money for his feature Bad Day and got his names actors involved.
How he insists on rehearsals to make it easier when you come on set. How the actors can build a connection there and understand other characters.
We chat how they made their action filled web-series Rebecca Gold and How to write short 5 minute episode with a beginning middle and end.
What to do when working with a new director/actor.

Dominic Brunt joins us to chat acting, film-making and directing horror & thriller indie films. He chats going from Emmerdale, a TV soap to making horror movies via running a zombie short film festival which got him and his wife Joanne Mitchell talking about making their own movie which they did with Before Dawn. And how making his debit feature was the hardest thing he’s ever done. How he shot in his own house and rehearsed it but how hard it was to direct and star in Before Dawn and how he wouldn’t do it again. And how it got picked up at Fright Fest and selling the film to Metrodome.
What he took onto his 2nd feature Bait and working with a studio. He gives some great advice on how to deal with a studio or your investor who is hands on.
How a big £6M project he was on was pulled two weeks before shooting and heartbreaking it was and he give some great advice to film-makers.

Giles Alderson sits down for a natter with director and producer Scott Mann to chat indie film-making working in the studio film system and dealing with on set nerves.
Filming in Bulgaria with The Tournament and the great film crews they have there.
We talk how he made a teaser trailer for the Tournament. Got offered a mil as soon as he got to Cannes to get it made but no guarantee he would direct it so he turned it down. People suddenly wanted the project but he wanted to direct. And even with offers on the table It still took two years and having to sign on the dole while he tried to get it made.
Then trying to close sales on the Tournament and getting Ving Rhames to agree to star in the film after having to wade into the sea in Cannes to get a better reception on his phone whilst doing so. Loosing finance during prep and not being able to leave the hotel as bills not paid!! And getting cash flow on a sheet of yellow paper.
We discuss getting star struck and dealing with the fear on set with actors and how Hugging Robert DeNiro changed his mindset
Working with Harvey Weinstein after The Tournament and possibly making a remake of Seven Samurai
The wonderful tale of when he talked to Robert DeNiro via Skype and going on to work on the script and directing Robert on set of Heist.
Making action movie Final Score and how it came together so quickly
Having no extras in the stadium where they filmed. Having a high above the line and a low below the line. Creating and setting up the action in films. Storyboarding for himself and making a film when you know the set is going to be torn down.

Experienced Hollywood producer Jack Binder has not only worked with some of Hollywood's A-listers including Ben Affleck, Adam Sandler and Kevin Costner but he has also produced studio movies as well as the studio indie and the outright indiefilm. His latest film First Reformed staring Ethan Hawke was Oscar Nominated this year for best screenplay!
